Yoga - Thai Yoga Bodywork

Cathy “C.C.” Cox, a returning Dalton/Chatsworth/Atlanta native is the owner of North Georgia Yoga.  She relocated back to this area to be with her husband Tim, & they live in Calhoun.  Her studio was located in Dalton from June 2010 - June 2013, and relocated to Calhoun in July, 2013.

While living in Las Vegas, at the repeated request of a friend, (thank you Olwen), she went to class & was pleasantly surprised.  While she couldn't do most of the poses, she kept an open mind & did as instructed - what she could.  "I was amazed at how my pain minimized & how relaxed & calm I felt after just the first class.  She was singing/performing 6 nights a week & was having agonizing sciatic pain & ongoing pain & discomfort from severe Scoliosis.  The specialist's answers were pain pills & muscle relaxers. (you can check out the article on C.C.'s Vegas life in the above magazine link)

At the advice of her roommate & dear friend in Vegas, Dr. Felicia Male-Van Rensburg, she committed to a regular practice & her body started healing. “I went from daily pain & started feeling comfortable in my body, with range of motion & movement I've never had, & it has corrected a large percentage of my Scoliosis. Yoga along with Meditation has also helped calm & manage my type triple A personality - now I'm an just an A - lol."   Her passion for this lifestyle led her to teaching in 2007 in Las Vegas.
